Things to Know

Llano, Texas is a small town. 

 

Parking is available in all parts of town and is un-metered.  Handicapped Parking will be available.  Please do NOT block driveways.

 

SEATING in the park is limited.  Bring lawns chairs or blankets.

 

No Ice Chests will be allowed into the festival site, unless you have a valid camping pass.

 

LIGHTING at night is limited bring a flashlight or lantern.

The weather in Texas can change in a minute so be prepared and always have a jacket, umbrella or sunscreen on hand.

There are no BIG BOX chain stores in town.  Thank God.

The local grocery store is open from
7am - 10pm and is NOT likely to carry
your favorite, name brand, specialty item.

Our local Drugstore is NOT open 24 hours or 7 Days a week 
Corner Drug Hours are:
M-F: 8 am-6 pm 
SAT: 8 am-1 pm 
SUN: CLOSED

We will have some basic FIRST AID at the festival but please be careful on the rough, rocky terrain.  

TERRAIN, SNAKES and THINGS THAT BITE AND STING: The festival grounds are primitive, wild and very uneven in most places, so please take care when walking. Also keep a lookout for snakes and check carefully before you sit on or near rocks or lift rocks. Remember, it’s Texas out there!

POISON IVY, CACTUS & other dangerous plants have been found in Grenwelge Park. Effort has been made to eradicate these potential threats but you must be wise and watch out for these wild, harmful plants in this somewhat wild location.

PETS: Pets will NOT be allowed into the festival grounds.  There are precariously balanced rocks all over the festival grounds and for the safety of your pets as well as the safety of everyone else, pets can not be allowed on festival grounds at any time.  Any violation of these rules will result in immediate expulsion from the festival.

Attendees assume all risk and danger incidental to attendance of the Llano Earth Art Fest (LEAF), in any capacity, and release the organizers, the City of Llano and their close corporations, employees, suppliers, sponsors and representatives from any and all liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from any cause whatsoever. This includes but is not limited to any damage, theft or loss of property or earnings, as well as any death or injury or damage to any person within and upon the city park premises before, during or after the festival. The organizers can also not be held responsible for poor weather, water or power interruptions, the failure of artists to perform, or any other unforeseen circumstances that may occur. Right of admission is reserved.

Terms And Conditions 
AGE RESTRICTION: Anyone found supplying alcohol to  persons under 21 will be asked to leave the festival.

CHILDREN: Children under the age of 12 must be supervised at all times and should not be left to wander around by themselves, especially near and around the river.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY: The festival site is in a rocky natural park setting, downhill and along the river. It is not really handicap or wheelchair accessible. All festival-goers enter at their own risk.

FILMING, RECORDING AND PHOTOGRAPHY: Standard still and video cameras and phone cameras and video recordings are permitted but professional photography and video equipment will not be allowed in the festival without official accreditation. Festival-goers consent to videoing, photographing and sound recording of themselves as members of the audience.

FIRES: Please don’t set off fireworks or leave campfires unattended, as there is a real danger of runaway fire. All campfires must have present at all times at least one adult, at least one fire extinguisher or at least one bucket of water. Before leaving a campfire or going to sleep at night, the campfire must be extinguished to that extent that it that remaining ash can be touched with the bare hand.

HIKING and SWIMMING: Feel free to walk around the park, but please respect the surrounding private property. Swimming, wading and kayaking in the Llano River is at your own risk. The weather and water may be cold. There will be no lifeguards on duty. Please do not use soap or shampoo or pollute the water in any way. The river is also very rocky and shallow in many places, so diving is not advisable.

NO CAR MUSIC, PORTABLE MUSIC, FIREWORKS OR SIRENS: LEAF offers an opportunity to enjoy LIVE music, so please switch off all car or portable sound systems. Be courteous and considerate to other festival-goers and don’t forget the midnight noise curfew!

NO GLASS: While glass may be more ‘green’ than plastic, broken bottles and the like are not only an immediate danger to festival-goers but also a hazard to the wildlife of the area. Be warned, glass and bottles will be confiscated!

MOBILE SAFETY: Please don’t ride motorcycles or motorized bikes into the festival site.  Not only is it potentially dangerous, it is against the law and the noise may be offensive to other festival-goers or interfere with the music. When entering or leaving the festival and driving in Llano, please keep your speed down and watch out for campers and other festival-goers and pedestrians.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROPERTY: While Llano is a relatively safe town, and every effort is made to safeguard festival-goers and their property, it’s advisable to lock valuables in your vehicle’s trunk when you’re away from your campsite.

ZERO TOLERANCE: No firearms, weapons, illegal substances, illegal solicitations, violent, offensive or dangerous behavior will be tolerated at LEAF and those that violate this policy will be dealt with by the proper authorities.

BEER sales provided by the Llano Parks Project. No outside beer allowed during festival hours.

Here we are

The Llano Earth Art Fest is held in Llano, Texas, in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.  

 

Llano is located about 70 miles northwest of Austin.  The festival itself is held in Grenwelge Park, which is right next to the Llano River bridge and is 1 block from the historic Llano Courthouse.  

 

For those in the international jet-set, the Llano Municipal Airport is located right outside of town and can accept planes up to Lear Jet size.
